Full-time | Remote | EOR employment

Job Opening:
Senior Product Automation Engineer

Build systems that make healthcare simpler.

Prevent Infect operates our education academy. Preventy is our developing software platform for digital hygiene management and healthcare education in Germany.

We do not want to scale administrative work by adding more manual processes. We want to build reliable software and automation that allows a small team to operate a growing healthcare platform efficiently.

We are looking for a senior, AI-native engineer in Tunisia who can take end-to-end ownership of our product platform, integrations and automation infrastructure. This is not a narrow frontend role and not a pure no-code position. You will work directly with the founder and turn real business and healthcare workflows into secure, maintainable software.

Your mission

You will become the technical counterpart to our founder and help develop Preventy from a founder-built platform into a documented, tested and scalable product.

  • Designing and developing features across our TypeScript/JavaScript stack
  • Building and maintaining PostgreSQL and Supabase schemas, migrations, functions and access policies
  • Creating reliable n8n workflows for course operations, onboarding, communication, documents and accounting
  • Integrating external platforms through REST APIs, webhooks and OAuth
  • Translating operational processes into clear data models and maintainable systems
  • Implementing automated tests, monitoring, logging and error handling
  • Reviewing AI-generated code and validating it for security and maintainability
  • Documenting architecture, workflows and important technical decisions
  • Investigating incidents and removing their root causes
  • Improving the development and deployment process continuously

What we are looking for

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • Several years of professional software-development experience
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational data modelling
  • Practical experience with TypeScript or JavaScript and Node.js
  • Experience designing and integrating APIs and webhooks
  • A good understanding of authentication, authorization and application security
  • Experience with testing, Git workflows and production deployments
  • The ability to work independently and communicate technical trade-offs clearly
  • Professional working English
  • A strong sense of ownership – you do not only implement tickets, you make sure the system works

Experience with Supabase, n8n, healthcare software or regulated environments is helpful but not mandatory.

Our technology

Our current environment includes:

  • PostgreSQL and Supabase
  • TypeScript and JavaScript
  • Node.js
  • React
  • n8n
  • REST APIs and webhooks
  • Git and GitHub
  • WordPress and Moodle integrations
  • Google Workspace
  • Payment and accounting integrations

You do not need to know every tool already. Strong fundamentals and the ability to understand unfamiliar systems matter more than matching every keyword.

AI-first engineering

We use AI coding tools deliberately throughout product development. We expect you to use AI for implementation, research, testing and documentation – but never as a replacement for engineering judgment. You should be able to:

  • Decompose requirements into tasks that AI agents can execute
  • Review and correct generated code
  • Recognize insecure or unnecessarily complex solutions
  • Protect credentials and sensitive information
  • Validate results through tests rather than trusting generated output
  • Use AI to improve delivery without compromising maintainability

We are not looking for someone who merely prompts an AI tool. We are looking for an engineer who can take responsibility for the result.

Data protection

Preventy operates in the German healthcare sector. Our development environment is strictly separated from production. The Tunisia-based team works with synthetic or anonymized development data. Access to production patient data is not part of this role. Security and data protection are architectural requirements, not afterthoughts.

How we work

  • Direct collaboration with the founder
  • Clear priorities and short decision paths
  • Remote-first collaboration
  • Written technical documentation
  • Small team with substantial individual responsibility
  • Focus on working systems rather than meetings
  • Long-term perspective after a successful pilot phase

The initial employment will be handled through a compliant Employer of Record in Tunisia.

Application process

Please send us:

  • Your CV or LinkedIn profile
  • Your GitHub profile or relevant project examples
  • A brief description of a system you designed or significantly improved
  • An example of an API integration or automation you built
  • The AI development tools you currently use
  • Your preferred monthly gross salary in TND
  • Your earliest possible starting date

Send your application to [email protected] with the subject “Senior Product Engineer Tunisia”. Shortlisted candidates will complete a small paid practical assignment based on a realistic but anonymized Preventy workflow.
